Chapter 2: A Transformee's Journey

"Trussst me when I say this; You are gonna love it here." Archie said, shutting Gwen's large, glass door behind him with his tail.

I gave him an odd look. It wasn't that I didn't believe him, it's just...

"What's with the hissing? Do transformations alter speech?" I was kind of worried I'd start talking funny.

"No, it'sss not that. I have a slight speech disssorder. I sometimesss drag my 's' sound out." Archie laughed.

"Oh. Sorry if I... offended you or anything." I flustered.

"It'sss fine, I get asked that a lot actually." He replied.

As we walked from the office down one of the nearby halls, I started to realize what a
big building this actually was.

"How large is this place?" I asked

"It'sss fairly large, but, from what I've heard, it's actually one of the smaller bases.
Apparently there'sss a base that takes up the entirety of Long Island in New York!"
Archie explained.

"I bet it'd be a pain to find your way around there!" I joked.

"Probably. Our room numbering syssstems pretty straight forward, so their'sss little
chance of getting lost here. The first number'sss the floor and the other two are actual
room numbers." He chuckled.

"I think I've visited colleges with numbering like that. I still could get lost in them."
I sheepishly grinned.

"Well, you got lucky, tommorow'sss Saturday, so you've got a while two days for tours and
getting use to the place before classes. I came in on a Tuesday, so I had to jump right
into them. It was mess." Archie reminisced.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

"And here we are. Room 133!" Archie declared.

Unlike Gwen's office door, all the other room doors were regular, old wooden doors. They
each had a shiny, gold-colored plate on the top with the room number printed on them.

Archie somehow managed to twist the doorknob with his tail, and opened the door to our
room.

The first thing I noticed was that it reminded me of a hotel room, but with much space.
On one side of the entrance was a restroom, the other a closet. There were four good
sized beds placed beside one another, two on one side and two, again, on the other. In
the back was a couch placed in front of a tv, and to the right of that was desk with a
computer sitting atop it.

As we walked in, I noticed another thing. There was a Flaaffy conked out on one of the
beds, snoring.

Archie flipped a light switch on, then turned to the Flaaffy.

"Hey Faith, wake up, we got a new roommate."

When she didn't move, Archie repeated himself, this time louder.

"Hey Faith! Wake up! We've got a new roommate!"

Faith jumped up, startled and the orb on her tail loosed a bright flash of blue light.

"Ah!" Archie and I yelled, blinded.

"Oh! Sorry, Arch!" She cried, turning the glow off.

Faith gave a glance at me.

"Who's this then?" She asked.

"This is Cecil Moss. He's our new roommate." He explained.

She jumped off the bed and rushed forward to me.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Faith Churchill. As you can kinda tell, I'm a Flaaffy. I'm so excited
to have a new roommate! Tell me, what Pokemon are you turning into?"

"Gwen said I was a Bayleef." I replied.

"Oh, cool~!" She replied.

"Hey, that remindsss me, I didn't properly introduce myself. My name is Archie Reed." He
bowed. (Well, bent his snake body forward.)

Faith yawned.

"We should probably get back to bed, I don't think Lawrence would like us being up." She
said, crawling back into bed.

"You're right, let me hit the lights." Archie replied.

He saw my questioning looks and explained.

"Lawrence is sort of the hall monitor; He makes sure everyone's in bed at curfew."

He went over to the switch.

"By the way, take either of the two beds on the far side. Faith and I sleep in the other
two." He said before flipping the lights off.

As he slithered back into his bed, I fumbled around in the dark and climbed into the bed
beside his.

"Well, here starts my life as a Pokeuman. Let's see where this goes." I muttered before
drifting off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

"Wake up!"

I muttered something unintelligent and simple rolled over.

"Get up already!" Archie's voice called again.

I just lay there, ignoring it.

"All, right, don't sssay I didn't warn you..." He sighed.

"WHAP!" Archie's tail smacked against the side of my face.

"OI! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" I cried, leaping up.

"Come on, you're going to make usss all late for breakfast." Archie said.

Both of them looked rather impatient. Faith was already at the door, tapping her foot.
Archie was only giving an annoyed look, but I could tell he would be doing the same if he
still had legs.

"Wha... What time is it?" I yawned.

"It's 8 A.M. So hurry, before all the good stuff's taken." Faith huffed.

Well, that explained it. I usually slept till 9:30 on Saturdays.

"Fine, but just so you guys know, I usually sleep in on Saturdays and skip breakfast." I
informed them as I hopped out of bed.

When I did; however, something wacked against the bed's backboard.

"Oh... Well that's embarrassing." I said, as I discovered upon twisting my head around
that the thumping sound had been the collision between the wood and my tail, which had
apparently grown overnight, right through the back of my blue jeans.

"That? That'sss nothing. Try having your legs fuse together and your waist getting so
slim there'sss hardly a belt made to keep your pants up." Archie chuckled.

I stared at my tail with fascination.

"I've always wondered what it'd be like to have one of these." I said as I waggled my
tail around.

"Adorable, but can we please get a move on?" Faith asked, opening the door as if to
strengthen her point.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

Faith and Archie lead me back towards Gwen's office, but down a
hall way beside it instead. The hallway lead to a pair of stairs, one leading up, and one
leading down.

The two took me downstairs, out a similar hallway, and back into another main section of
building. From there, it was a short walk to the double doors of the cafeteria.

Even though it was early on a weekend morning, the cafeteria was still loaded with
Pokemon of every shape, size and color. Archie and Faith lead me to the lunch line.

Behind the serving counter stood an Audino, and Togetic floating beside her. Archie and

Faith ordered something almost immediately, I; however, didn't know what to order. There
wasn't anything I would usually eat, instead, everything there were from the games.
MooMoo Milk, Oran and Pecha berries, and so on.

I felt bad for making the lunch ladies wait for me, but then again, this probably
happened with every newbie to come through here. I still felt kind of guilty though, so I
finally just decided on something, if only to get out of there.

By the time I managed to find Archie and Faith, they were already half way through their
food. I stared at my plate. A can of Lemonade and a Chesto berry hash. I wasn't concerned
about the lemonade, but what worried me was the berries. Chesto berries had always been
my favorite in-game for some reason, but I had no idea how they'd actually TASTE.

I eventually manned up enough to actually try a bite. It was kind of dry, but all the
while, it was really good! I had to take a drink pretty soon after starting to eat from
the dryness of it, but that didn't bother me any. As it turns out, dry and sour makes a
good combo!

"This is awesome!" I said in between bites.

"Ms. Andrews and Ms. Swift-" Faith paused when she noticed another one of my questioning
looks, "The Audino and Togetic, are amazing cooks."

"Jussst what until dinner; It only gets better asss the day goes on." Archie said.

As we continued eating, I noticed that a Breloom and Ninjask, who were situated at a
table across the cafeteria, were glaring at me.

Tracing my stare, Archie followed it over to the other table.

"Oh, jussst ignore them. They just don't like new Pokeumans for some reason."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

Archie and Faith finished eating, then sat there and waited for me to finish.  After I
finished too, they started walking me around, giving me a tour, and explaining how
everything worked.

The top floor, as I had sort of figured out the night before, contained Gwen's office and
the bedrooms for the Pokeumans inhabiting the base.

"Wouldn't this place run out of run eventually?" I asked.

"Not really. Once you take three yearssss of classes, you can leave, and move to a hidden
village, where you live out the ressst of your life." Archie replied.

"Don't forget, you can also leave if you can defeat the Elite Four you can leave early!"
Faith added.

"Yeah, there'sss that, but I don't think anyone's ever defeat the Elite Four here." He
said.

We went to the bottom floor next, as Archie thought it might be a better idea to save the
middle floor until it was closer to lunch.

This floor, they explained, housed most of the extracurricular activities. There was a
gigantic magnitude of them, ranging from Art and Drama, to Tennis and Swimming.

"I really like to swim; I wonder if I could still do that as a Bayleef..." I pondered.

"I would think It'd be like a dog swimming." Faith answered.

The 2nd floor, I knew contained the cafeteria, but it also had all the classrooms and the
gym.

By the time we had finished a tour of the floors, it was right on lunch, so we headed
back to grab something.

As we were eating, I noticed my skin sort of had an odd, yellow-tanish color in some
places. Further examination revealed that my skin was starting to grow patches of fur.

I forgot about my food as I started playing with the hair.

That, too; however, ended when Archie glanced at the clock, and shot up suddenly.

"Ah! I'm going to missss it!" He exclaimed and quickly slithered toward the door.

"Is it that time already?" Faith asked no one in particular as she got up and followed.

Of course, I had no choice but to give. chase too

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heading towards the gym, with Faith and me in hot pursuit, Archie's pace was only slowed
when he had to open the door with his tail.

The inside of the gym was definitely different than what I used to. Sure, the first half
looked normal, but the back half was set up more like a couple of small, Pokemon battling
fields.

Archie went over to one of the fields, where a Dragoniar was already waiting, while Faith
dragged me to a nearby bench.

"About time you got here. For a moment there, I wasn't sure you were going to show up."
The Dragonair chuckled.

"Like I'd miss thisss, Monica. I jussst lost track of time a little." Archie replied.

"I love watching their battles; They have one every Saturday after lunch." Faith smiled.

"Wait, a real Pokemon battle? I've always dreamed of seeing one for real, but... It can't
really be like the games, right? They aren't just going to take turns, right?"
I thought.

My thought process was proven correct, as at that moment, Monica rushed forward, water
spiraling around her tail.

"Is that Aqua Tail? Fudge, it's a lot harder to identify moves when something's not
straight up telling you..."
I muttered to myself.

As Monica's tail came crashing down, Archie coiled up, and, to some extent, used his body
as a spring, bouncing the majority of the blow away.

Archie took advantage of Monica's temporary shock, and bounded at her, fangs ablaze.

Archie's Fire Fang clamped down hard, right into Monica's side.

Monica winced, but she wasn't going to let Archie get away with that.

She started blazing around the arena using Agility, and as tight a grip as Archie had, he
still was forced to let go, and he rolled across the floor.

Monica spun around, and a yellow glow began to charge in the orb on her neck.

She fired a Thunderbolt at Archie, hitting him full blast.

Archie grimaced, struggling o get upright.

"Had enough, dearer?" Monica cackled.

"Not quite. It'sss time for my ultimate move! Elemental Fang!" Archie shouted.

Using what was left of his strength, Archie shot at Monica, chomping down with fangs that
sporadically flashed between Fire, Ice, and Thunder Fangs.

"What was that?!" I asked Faith. I had never seen anything like that happening before.

"That's a combo attack! Most of us come up with one. It's something the games never came
up with." Faith laughed.

"Whoa, combo attacks; That's awesome." I smirked as I planned to make a combo attack as
soon as I could.

"I've had enough of this." Monica grunted.

She started spinning around, and a Twister formed around her.

The Twister ripped Archie off of her, and slammed him into a wall.

Crashing back down to the ground, Archie grunted, barely able to hold himself up.

"This will finish it!" She declared, firing another Thunderbolt at Archie.

Archie collapsed to the ground, unmoving.

"Is he dead?" I asked, rushing over to him.

"No, he'll be fine in a minute. Battles don't kill Pokemon, they just faint, remember?"
Monica reminded me.

And as if to assure me of that, Archie grunted again, beginning to regain consciousness.

"Ugh; Another good battle asss usual, Monica." Archie sighed.

Monica and Faith helped Archie up.

"You're getting better. Perhaps soon you'll beat me!" Monica smiled.

"Heh, can't wait..." Archie smirked.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

Within minutes, Archie regained enough strength to operate on
his own, so the three of us said goodbye to Monica, and headed back to our room to wait
for dinner.

Back at our room, Faith and Archie went over to the couch and started bickering over the
remote, while I went over and checked out the computer.

Eventually, Archie came over and watched me play games on the computer, for he was too
tired to fight over control of the television.

When it approached supper time, the three of us headed down to the second floor. We
grabbed our meals and sat at a table with Monica.

I discovered Archie was right earlier; the food later in the day was a whole lot better.
And the food from before was really good too, so that was saying something.

A thought occurred to me, and I glanced around in an attempt to find the Breloom and
Ninjask from earlier, to see if they were still giving me the stare down. Luckily, they
didn't seem to be anywhere in sight.

It also  didn't seem like any of us had anything better to do that night, because after
we all finished eating, we remained in the cafeteria and chatted. That is, until Ms.
Andrews got annoyed that she couldn't clean up and kicked us out.

Even after that, we all went down to the rec. room on the first floor and hung out for a
couple of hours before we all decided that it was getting late and that we should get
ready for bed.

We parted ways with Monica one last time for the day, as we all headed back to our own
rooms.

Back in our room, I wanted to check something on the computer, but at about the time I
did, a Lunatone swung the door open.

"Lights out." He simply commanded, then shut the door once more.

Archie, as if reading my mind, just said, "Lawrence."

I sighed, promising myself to do it tomorrow, and crawled into my bed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

I was awoken the next morning by the sound of tv.

I rolled over, and half-opened my eyes to see that Archie and Faith were already up, and
had decided to watch a little television before breakfast.

As I stood up, I about fell over. My center of gravity seemed... off.

"It looks like the major changes are starting." Faith got up off the couch and came over.

I stared at her for a moment. Wasn't she shorter yesterday?

The day before, she'd only come up to  my waist. Today, she was as tall as my chest.

"Did you... grow?" I questioned.

"No, you've shrunk!" She laughed.

I ran into the bathroom, and looked in the mirror.

She was right, I was shorter. But not only that, there were other changes too. My skin
was beginning to grow the tan fur everywhere, my neck had begun to elongate, and it
appeared as though there were little buds beginning  to sprout out of the base of my
neck. The leaf had also grown larger, reaching down to the back of my neck.

Although I knew what was going on, I couldn't help but be fascinated by it.

I was caressing my leaf when Archie peeked in.

"Hey, if we're going to get breakfassst, we should get going."

It was when we got downstairs, into the food line, that I was hit by a wave of nausea.

It had become a tradition; Every Sunday, I would have my grandmother's biscuits and gravy
for breakfast. Here, there was no chance of that.

I gave my Chesto Hash an annoyed look, stirring it around with my fork.

"You ok? You look kind of bummed." Faith asked.

"I'm... just a little homesick." I sighed.

"Don't worry, once you get sssetteled in properly, you'll feel better." Archie assured me.

Somehow, I doubted him, but I figured it was best to take his word for it.

As we left, Archie suddenly thought of something.

"Hey, we have classesss tomorrow, did you ever get your schedule?"

"Ur... No, I don't think I got it." I answered.

"Well, we got to go get it! You'll miss your classes if you don't!" Faith exclaimed.

The two of them lead me back upstairs, to Gwen's office, and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Came Gwen's reply from inside.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

Inside, Gwen was sitting behind her desk, busy with paperwork. She glanced up for only a
brief moment to check who her guests were.

"Ah, what can I do for you three?" She asked, not bothering to stop working to address us.

"I... uh... need my schedule." I stuttered.

"Oh, yes. I've had it ready since yesterday morning." She skimmed through one of her
stacks of papers, pulled a sheet out, and handed it to me.

I took it and examined it. The paper read like this:

Schedule

Student: Cecil

Species: Bayleef

Students do not have to attend classes on the weekends.

One five-star notebook and one pencil are required.

"What's with all these empty spaces?" I asked.

"Those will be your gym and battle classes. You don't have to take them until you are
finished with the transformation." Gwen replied.

"Hey, we've got the sssame Math class." Archie said.

"And I'm in your English class." Faith added.

"That's  fine and dandy, but if you may, I am very busy, so please, escort yourselves
out." Gwen sighed, going back to her work.

"Ok fine, we're out of here." Archie grumbled.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

We returned to the second floor, where Archie and Faith gave me a second mini-tour,
showing off where each of my classes were located.

When they were showing me the Science Lab, I spotted Sammy walk- well, floating down the
hall.

"Hey Sammy!" I called to him.

"Oh, hello Cecil! I assume you're settling in nicely?" He asked.

"Uh, yeah, everything's been fine so far." I replied.

"Good to hear. So, who are these two?" He inquired.

"These are Archie and Faith. They're my roommates." I responded.

"Nice to meet you two. I would stay and chat some more, but I really must be going. See
you later." Sammy finished, then headed off.

"Wow, how do you know Sammy?!" Faith exclaimed.

"He was the one who brought me here in the first place. Why?" I replied.

"Sammy'sss one of the best PRT members in this base." Archie said.

"You're so lucky to have him rescue you!" Faith added.

I tilted my head in confusion.

"PRT? What's that?"

"PRT stands for the Pokeuman Rescue Troop. They're the onesss who rescue kiddnapped
Pokeumans and such." Archie explained.

"A rescue troop..." I muttered.

"I would recommend wait a while for that. PRT membersss need lots of strength and
cunning, and absolute control over their moves and abillites. It'sss not something
everyone can do." He insisted.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

The rest of the day was, for the most part, just wasting time. The three of us met up
with Monica during lunch, and goofed around for the whole day.

He played a few sports, swam a little (well, not Faith), and did other assorted things.
There were even video games in the Rec. Room!

When Archie, Faith, and I headed back to our room, we were all exhausted.

I ploped striaght into bed, but Archie and Faith stayed up and prepared a few supplies
for classes tommorow.

"I'll lend you some suppliesss for tommorow. But, you should probally get your own."
Archie said.

"Yeah, I'll...... Do that." I yawned.

I'm not sure if Lawrence never came in or I just fell fell asleep before hand, but either
way, I never saw him.

It was on... To the next day.
(3/22/12) EDIT: Chaged Faith's light to blue, her last name to Churchill, and put her in the English class, all things I forgot to go back and change before I released this. Odd that all the errors had to do with Faith...

Woo, another chapter of Another Body!

The excitment... Doesn't actually pick up that much. Maybe, in the battle scene, but not really.

Ah, oh well, these stories don't start getting good 'till Chapter 3 or 4. So I guess it's ok.

Either way, I guess you guys can enjoy it.

All errors were on Faith, is it a sign? What does the word FAITH have to do with anything at all? Surly it has to be a coincidence, right?

(XD Sorry I had to)
